The New York Center for Dairy Excellence brings together farmers and representatives from agri-service to priritize and implement programs that increase dairy farm profitability and to strengthen the New York State dairy industry.  The Center is guided by the New York Dairy Industry Task Force. 

The New York Farm Viability Institute launched the Center in 2006.

Since then, the Center received funds through legislative appropriations to the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
