The New York Biomass Energy Alliance is a coalition of individuals, businesses and organizations working together to promote the use of sustainably produced and harvested biomass as a source of renewable energy. The alliance works to strengthen cooperation and communication among the enterprises and organizations committed to biomass energy solutions, including producers, harvesting and logistics companies, conversion plants, and end-users.

The NY Biomass Energy Alliance was launched in spring 2009.  The NY Farm Viability Institute is serving as a management agent to help the Alliance get established.
